Actually, Anonymous, I kind of liked this post. Unlike many of Shlomo's posts, I can actually read this one in one sitting.

I know I'm running behind schedule here, but I've been a little preoccupied with work and some legal matters. Sorry about the wait.

I was reading your july 13th post about doing your best and not being appreciated and I feel that eventhough this situation sucks, you should not give up on everything.

A lot of times, the world is unappreciative, but we shouldn't give up doing our best. Why not? Because we shouldn't do good just for the reward, but because it's the right thing to do.

I have this marble that the outside of it looks clouded with gold and amber and even a little pink as if someone drop into something by accident in it's beginning.But when it is held into the light every spectrum of color is found.And even more to my amazement and pleasure the morning sun shines through and for a brief moment the colors dance across the room.

Dont let the light go out sparky.

If you can keep your head when all about you

Are losing theirs and blaming you;

If you can trusts yourself when all men doubt you,

But make allowance for their doubting too;

If you can wait and not be tired of waiting,

Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,

Or being hated don’t give way to hating,
And yes don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream-and not make dreams your master;

If you can think-and not make thoughts your aim,

If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster

And treat those two imposters just the same;

If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken

Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,

And stoop and build ‘em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings

And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,

And lose, and start again at your beginnings

And never breathe a word about your loss;

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew

To serve your turn long after they are gone,

And so hold on when there is nothing in you

Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,

Or walk with Kings-nor lose the common touch,

If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,

If all men count with you, but none too much;

If you can fill the unforgiving minute

With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,

Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,

Anonymous, the Poet,

If you're going to cite a poem, at least give credit to its author. The poem you copied is called "IF" and is authored by Rudyard Kipling. Plus -- you omitted the last line: "And what is more, you'll be a man, my son."
(This last line may not be 100% accurate, as I'm quoting from memory.)
Just wanted Aronoovitz's readers to get their info correctly...

Shlaimeh! Y'little mamzer'l... where the hell are ya man! Your unique existence on this earth has only recently become known to me ('bout a year ago or so) and I'm now suffering from terrible Shlaimeh-withdrawal owing to your SILENCE.

Come back. Come back!!

Love,

mnuez
